Vehicles
Wardogs has 24 vehicles in Season 2: quad bikes, buggies, SUVs, Humvees, Ural trucks, three tanks, an artillery tank, five transport and attack helicopters and the team's free M113 spawn APC. You buy each one at the vendor every life, from $500 for a Bobcat to $28,000 for a Havoc, after unlocking it on the Driver or Pilot track.
Wardogs has 24 vehicles in Season 2, counting each armed variant separately, as Dexerto's Wardogs vehicle database lists them: light transport, armed wheeled vehicles, trucks, tanks and anti-air, the SPH-2 artillery tank, helicopters and the free M113 spawn APC. Every vehicle except the APC is bought at the vendor like any other loadout item, and the cash is gone when it is destroyed: Kotaku notes there is no refund. Ground vehicles unlock on the Driver track and helicopters on the Pilot track, each for a one-time cash payment. This page lists them all with Season 2 prices (update 0.2.0, Oct 15, 2026); the type pages go deeper: Light Vehicles and Trucks, Tanks and Artillery and Helicopters.

Sources: prices, unlocks and destroy rewards from Bulkhead's Season 2 patch notes where they changed and Dexerto's vehicle database for the rest (including seats and the M113's base reward); unlock levels from Dexerto's Driver page and Pilot page; the MH-6 as the starting helicopter from GamesRadar+. Dexerto lists 3 seats on the Ural trucks although they carry standing passengers; the standing capacity is not published.
The four Season 2 additions are the Wolf-110, the Wolf-110 [M2 Browning], the T-72B3 and the Flakpanzer Gepard, all added in update 0.2.0 on Oct 15, 2026. PCGamesN wrote before launch that Early Access would start with "37 weapons, 27 vehicles, and three maps"; that is PCGamesN's count, and Dexerto's database, which counts variants separately, holds 20 launch vehicles.
How buying and owning a vehicle works
Every life you buy a loadout of weapons, gear, utility and vehicles with the cash you carry, which starts at $10,000 for every player, per the Steam store page. A vehicle is one more item at the vendor, so a $22,000 L2A6 is out of reach for a new player, and KeenGamer pointed out that even at its Season 1 price of $14,000 the tank cost more than a whole starting bank. Each team also gets vehicles that spawn free at the start of a match. Since Season 2, Bulkhead's notes say a vehicle you bought has an inventory private to you and your squad by default (a setting opens it to everyone once the vehicle is fully unlocked), while the free team vehicles stay open to all.
Vehicles start locked, and L locks or unlocks them, as GameSpot's flying guide and Dexerto's keybind list note; squads get vehicle locking among their tools, per Bulkhead's February FAQ. The other vehicle keys in Dexerto's list are V for countermeasures, B to buy ammo and supplies, 0 for the next seat and 9 for the previous one; the full list is on Controls and Keybinds.
Vehicles burn fuel, and Dexerto lists each one's tank in liters and its use in liters per kilometer. A Refuel Station or Repair Station built at an FOB fills and fixes friendly vehicles if Fuel or Mechanical supplies are stored there (Building and Fortifications); by hand, a $150 Fuel Can or a $180 Wrench does the same slowly. Helicopters repair and refuel at HQ, which GamesRadar+ says takes "the necessary funds from your in-game earnings." The clip is Josephant's tip on refilling fuel cans at HQ.
The trip from spawn to the Control Zone is about 3 km, 4 to 5 minutes by car, per PC Gamer, which is why it advises new players to wait for a transport helicopter. Bulkhead's own Season 2 advice: "Make sure you trust a pilot before getting into their aircraft. Alternatively - drive to the control zone or fly yourself" (Season 2 notes).
The spawn APC
Each team has one M113 APC SV, a 10-seat tracked vehicle painted in its color that is the whole team's mobile spawn point; it is not sold at the vendor (Dexerto). GamesRadar+ reports that it appears at HQ once the team's score reaches 20, a Season 1 guide's figure that Bulkhead has not published. Driving it to a safe spot near the zone, ideally inside an FOB, pays its driver each time a teammate spawns on it, as PC Gamer's money guide explains. Destroying an enemy APC is "both strategically helpful and very profitable," in PC Gamer's words: Dexerto lists a base $4,000, more inside the zone. Since Season 2 the Vanguard CIWS takes 2.25 times longer to kill it, and players who switch teams or join late cannot use it until they first reach the Control Zone. More on spawning is on Spawning and Redeploying.
Earning with vehicles
Vehicles are how the economy's taxi and logistics jobs are done. Season 2 base rewards, from Bulkhead's notes: $350 for each player delivered to the zone by ground vehicle ($100 by air), $150 for a return trip by ground, $250 or $500 for a small or large supply crate, and $1,250 for a supply pallet, plus streak bonuses for deliveries in a row. Everyone in a vehicle gets Driver XP for kills made by the driver or a gunner, per GameSpot, and since Season 2 repair XP goes to the Driver or Pilot track by vehicle. The full list of jobs and what they pay is on Economy and Cash and Money Making Guide.
Destroying vehicles
Since Season 2 every vehicle variant has its own destroy reward (the table above), armed variants give 1.5 times the XP of the default variant, and an attack vehicle's reward rises with the kills it has made. Dexerto's vehicle pages add zone multipliers, for example +150% in the Control Zone and +200% in the Hot Zone for the L2A6, and -75% for killing a friendly one. Rockets, mines and C4 are on Launchers and Explosives; anti-air and anti-armor emplacements are on Building and Fortifications.
Shooting tires works: popping one Humvee tire cuts its top speed by over half and two slow it to a crawl, and YouTuber Min Max Lab found that eight 5.56 rounds pop a tire, as PC Gamer reported on Sep 23, 2026. The clip is Airwingmarine counting the rounds it takes to flatten a Humvee tire and strip it to the rim.
Which vehicle is best
Two outlets ranked the vehicles in Season 1, before the Season 2 price rises. KeenGamer's tier list (Sep 14, 2026, Patch 0.11) put the Kodiak Pickup, Kodiak, Ural, Humvee [Minigun] and Z20 Lakota in S tier and the SPH-2 and AH-6R [Rockets] in C; it called the Humvee [Minigun] the best-value combat vehicle at what was then $4,500. Destructoid (Sep 12, 2026) picked the Ural Defender [M249] for supply runs, the Havoc for attacking from above, the Kodiak Pickup as the everyday passenger car, the Z20 Lakota as the most efficient passenger vehicle and the L2A6 for contesting the Hot Zone.
Season 2 then more than doubled the price of the Humvee [Minigun] (to $10,000) and raised the L2A6 to $22,000 and the Havoc to $28,000 (Season 2 notes), so the cheap transport picks have aged better than the combat ones. Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer had said on Sep 18 that the studio was "not happy with the state of vehicles".
Boats, jets and what is planned
There are no boats in Wardogs: none appears in Dexerto's database or in any of Bulkhead's patch notes through Season 2. Fighter jets are planned, not in the game: the store's Early Access section promises "new vehicle types including fighter jets" for the full version. Bulkhead has also said it plans limited servers that remove power vehicles such as tanks and artillery, as PCGamesN reported on Oct 16 and again on Oct 25, 2026, targeted for Season 3; see Early Access and Roadmap.
Changes by patch
- Season 1 launch, Sep 9, 2026: the heavy tank moved from Career level 35 to Driver 35, the artillery tank to Career 90 for $500,000, and the Ural, Dune Buggy and Z20 Lakota got cheaper unlocks (Season 1 changelog).
- Update 0.1.2, Sep 30: vehicle fly-through rewards capped and a Havoc damage bug fixed (0.1.2 notes).
- Oct 2 hotfix: the CIWS kills a Havoc in about 6 seconds instead of 12.
- Season 2, Oct 15: four new vehicles, higher prices for armed variants, per-variant destroy rewards, heavier tracked vehicles, reworked Humvee handling, a looser Dune Buggy and the SPH-2 moved to Driver 31 (Season 2 notes). A Driver XP exploit let some players reach tanks on day one; Bulkhead slowed Driver progression and gave the worst abusers 24-hour bans (Eurogamer). Every patch is on Patches and Updates.
Frequently asked questions
How many vehicles are in Wardogs? Dexerto's Wardogs database lists 24 vehicles in Season 2, counting armed variants separately, including four added on Oct 15, 2026: the Wolf-110, the Wolf-110 [M2 Browning], the T-72B3 and the Flakpanzer Gepard.
How do you get vehicles in Wardogs? In Wardogs you unlock a vehicle once on the Driver or Pilot track with cash, then buy it at the vendor every life you want it. The team's M113 spawn APC and the free vehicles each team gets at the start of a match cost nothing.
How do you unlock the Humvee in Wardogs? The Humvee unlocks at Driver level 14 for $75,000 in Season 2 and then costs $3,000 a life; the Humvee [M249] needs Driver 24 and the Humvee [Minigun] Driver 30.
What is the best vehicle in Wardogs? KeenGamer's Season 1 tier list ranked the Kodiak Pickup, Kodiak, Ural, Humvee [Minigun] and Z20 Lakota highest, and Destructoid named the Kodiak Pickup and Z20 Lakota for carrying players and the L2A6 tank for the Hot Zone. Both lists predate Season 2's price rises.
Do you lose your vehicle when it is destroyed in Wardogs? Yes. A destroyed vehicle in Wardogs is not refunded, so you buy it again from the vendor, and the enemy who destroyed it is paid a reward.
Are there boats or jets in Wardogs? No. Wardogs has no boats as of Oct 26, 2026, and fighter jets are listed on the Steam store only as planned for the full release.
