Season 3
Wardogs Season 3 is expected on Thursday, Nov 12, 2026, with a fresh economy reset, going by Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer's reply on Steam as PCGamesN and Shacknews reported it. As of Oct 26, 2026 no Bulkhead news post confirms the date, the start time or the patch notes.
Wardogs Season 3 is expected to start on Thursday, Nov 12, 2026: Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer wrote in a reply on Steam that "Season 3 has been brought forward to November 12th to give everyone a proper fresh start", as Shacknews reported, and PCGamesN gives the same date with "a fresh economy reset". As of Oct 26, 2026 the date is not yet in a Bulkhead news post on Steam, and no start time or patch notes have been published. Season 3 comes early because Season 2, which began on Oct 15, went wrong: faster progression let some players reach the best gear within days. In the clip, from Bulkhead's Oct 24 podcast, the team says it chose not to wipe at once and to end Season 2 a few weeks early instead.

Release date
The Nov 12 date comes from Brammer, not yet from a Bulkhead announcement. Shacknews quotes his reply on Steam and notes that the earlier start makes Season 2 last less than a month; PCGamesN reported the same Thursday, Nov 12 target on Oct 25 (PCGamesN). Until Bulkhead posts it on Steam, treat it as the planned date. Bulkhead's seasons so far have started after a morning maintenance: Season 2 servers were down on Oct 15 from 08:00 to 09:30 UTC, but no time has been given for Season 3.
Why Season 3 was brought forward
Season 2 sped up progression on purpose, and on Oct 17, 2026 Bulkhead posted on X that "it was the wrong call". Some players reached tier 4 armor and main battle tanks within days, so "the wipe never really landed"; rather than a "knee-jerk reset this weekend", Bulkhead said it would bring Season 3 forward "significantly" (PCGamesN). Insider Gaming quoted Bulkhead: "This is what Early Access is for." The full story is on Season 2. In the clip Bulkhead's team debates whether announcing the earlier Season 3 so soon was itself a mistake.
A fresh economy reset
Season 3 will start the economy over, per PCGamesN, as Season 2 did on Oct 15, when everyone went back to level 1. Bulkhead has not said what a player's starting cash will be after the reset, or how leftover Season 2 cash will be handled; what is known about wipes and Gold Bars is on Seasons and Wipes and Gold Bars and the Gold Market.
Limited and primitive servers
Brammer said Season 3 will add limited "primitive" servers that remove power weapons and vehicles, to recreate the low-to-mid game (PCGamesN). Earlier, PCGamesN described these Limited Mode servers as removing level 4 armor, power weapons and vehicles such as tanks and artillery while allowing level 2 armor (PCGamesN). They are planned, not in the game as of Oct 26, 2026. How servers work now is on Servers and Matchmaking.
Longer seasons from now on
Season 3 is also where the season cadence changes. "We've got to slow down. We can't do monthly seasons. We can't keep up," Brammer told PCGamesN; the plan is seasons of about three months with a smaller mid-season update halfway through (PCGamesN). He also called adding lots of content at the expense of core fundamentals in Season 2 "a huge mistake on our part".
Progression changes Bulkhead wants
Bulkhead wants to move away from Season 1's "heavy vertical progression", where the best items sat at the end of each track (PCGamesN). Brammer said he has no fix yet for a destroyed Havoc being bought again almost at once by the same player; Pete Harries said in the same discussion that fuel could be part of the answer. Neither is a confirmed Season 3 change. See Progression and Unlocks and Helicopters.
What is not known
As of Oct 26, 2026, Bulkhead has not published Season 3's patch notes, start time, new weapons, vehicles or maps, its XP curve, or what carries over from Season 2. Screen Rant reported from a pre-Season 2 briefing that a night mode was planned for Season 3, but Bulkhead's own posts do not mention it (Screen Rant). Planned features such as player skills and custom loadouts have no date (Early Access and Roadmap). This page will follow Bulkhead's posts; every patch so far is on Patches and Updates.

Season 2Wardogs Season 2 is update 0.2.0, live since Oct 15, 2026. It wiped progression, added four weapons, four vehicles, three buildables, the Molotov, rain and the Gold Market, rebuilt Bakurani's spawns and roughly halved the XP needed for level 20. Bulkhead dropped its Lonestar bonus after one day and plans to end the season early with Season 3 on Nov 12, 2026. -
Seasons and WipesWardogs wipes progression at the start of every season: each season has its own XP curve and item order, and Season 2 reset everyone to level 1 on Oct 15, 2026. Gold Bars, season-exclusive items and Twitch Drop rewards are kept, per Dexerto. Season 1 ran Sep 10 to Oct 15, Season 2 is expected to end with Season 3 on Nov 12, and later seasons are planned at about three months.

Gold Bars and the Gold MarketGold Bars are Wardogs' endgame currency: you get them by exchanging in-game cash, and leftover cash turns into Gold Bars at the end of a season, so they survive wipes. They are spent on camos in the Gold Market, which unlocks at Wardog level 35 for $150,000 in Season 2. Bulkhead has pledged never to sell cash, Gold Bars or camos for real money.
-
Servers and MatchmakingWardogs has no matchmaking button: you pick a match from a server browser, through the Deploy screen's Official, Community, Infantry Mode and Low-Level choices. Official servers have kicked high-ping players since Season 2, with a 175 ms maximum since Oct 21, 2026, and limited servers are planned.
-
Progression and UnlocksWardogs has seven progression tracks: the Wardog career track and six roles (Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, Pilot). Using a role's gear earns that role XP; reaching a level makes an item available, and you then pay a one-time cash unlock (the Havoc costs $650,000 at Pilot 35 in Season 2). Every track resets at a season wipe; Season 2 (Oct 15, 2026) made level 20 take less than half the Season 1 playtime.

HelicoptersWardogs has six helicopters in Season 2: the MH-6 Little Bird transport every pilot starts with ($6,250), the 13-seat Z20 Lakota ($7,400, Pilot 10), the Lakota with miniguns, the AH-6M and AH-6R attack Little Birds, and the Havoc attack helicopter ($28,000, Pilot 35 for $650,000). Season 2 raised the attack helicopters' prices.
