Wardogs 1.0 and console release: Dec 2028Not announced: our best guess from Bulkhead's plan to bring Wardogs to PlayStation 5 and Xbox, with 1.0, in 2028.
Best guessBulkhead's launch trailer says Wardogs is "COMING TO CONSOLES IN 2028", and CEO Joe Brammer calls the goal "the 1.0 launch on console", but no date is announced, so we count to the end of 2028, the last day the announced year allows. Bulkhead on Steam

Destruction

Wardogs lets you blow open apartment blocks with rocket launchers, drive tanks through towns and destroy every player-built structure, though buildings are not flattened entirely and towers and churches cannot be destroyed. Since Season 2 destroying an enemy vehicle pays $100 (Bobcat) to $14,000 (Havoc), and a buildable pays its build cost in cash.

Wardogs has destructible buildings, vehicles and player-made structures: Bulkhead's store page promises you can destroy apartment blocks with rocket launchers or tear through towns in tanks. Buildings can be damaged and opened up but not flattened entirely, PCGamesN reported, and the towers and churches are among the few indestructible structures, per GameSpot. Destruction also pays: since Season 2 (update 0.2.0, Oct 15, 2026) every enemy vehicle and buildable has a cash reward, from $100 for a Bobcat to $14,000 for a Havoc.

Quick facts

What can be destroyed

Buildings in towns can be damaged and blown open, but not leveled, as PCGamesN reported at the announcement on Feb 5, 2026. Since Season 2 a destroyed roof lets rain through on maps with the new rain preset, and Bulkhead's Season 2 preview says rain interacts with damaged and destroyed structures. The Molotov, new in Season 2, burns destructible foliage. In the clip Bulkhead's developers explain that blowing the roof off a building leaves anyone on the upper floor in the rain.

The objective structures stay up. Capturable towers and churches cannot be destroyed, GameSpot notes, which is why they anchor FOBs and sniper nests (see Hot Zone and Towers and Maps). Everything players build can be destroyed, from 250-health barbed wire to a 15,000-health FOB structure (see Building and Fortifications), and so can every vehicle (see Vehicles).

What to destroy it with

Explosives do the work; bullets barely scratch structures. Dexerto's damage table for the L81 Mortar emplacement shows bullets at -85%, IEDs at +400% and C4 at +300%, and in the clip HitboTC shows a basic gate that falls to one C4 per door. The main tools, all detailed on Launchers and Explosives:

Tool Price (Season 2) Unlock Note
RPG-7 $1,800 Support 6, $30,000 93mm rocket, base damage 110, 300 m
MAAWS $2,400 Support 18, $100,000 84mm anti-tank, base damage 100, 400 m
MGL-40 $7,500 Support 35, $250,000 Six 40mm grenades
C4 Charge $250 each (stacks of 3) Assault 4 Needs a $650 Remote Detonator
Improvised Explosive Device $300 Default Single-use remote explosive
AT Mine $650 Support 25, $75,000 Triggered by vehicles only
L81 Mortar 600 build supplies Large Hammer Indirect fire from an FOB

Tanks and the SPH-2 artillery tank break cover from range too (see Tanks and Artillery), and the Vanguard CIWS anti-air gun, retuned in Season 2, "shreds light cover and struggles against heavy fortifications". Since Season 2, C4 and IED kills and destroying any buildable give Assault XP instead of Support, and no explosive or placeable can be used from an enclosed vehicle seat.

Rewards for destroying vehicles (Season 2)

Every vehicle variant has its own reward; armed variants give 1.5 times the XP of the plain one, and attack vehicles are worth more the more kills they have, per Bulkhead's Season 2 notes.

Vehicle Destroy reward Season 1

Dune Buggy $300 $750
Wolf-110 / Wolf-110 [M2 Browning] $450 / $3,900 New in Season 2

Humvee / Humvee [M249] / Humvee [Minigun] $600 / $4,250 / $5,000 $1,500 (Humvee)

T-72B3 $8,000 New in Season 2
L2A6 $11,000 $14,000
Havoc $14,000 $18,000

Source: Bulkhead's Season 2 notes. Bulkhead added the same day that its first figures "were base design values without a zone multiplier"; Dexerto's L2A6 page shows +150% in the Control Zone and +200% in the Hot Zone, and -75% for a friendly kill.

The owner gets nothing back: a destroyed vehicle's cost is not refunded, Kotaku noted. PC Gamer's beginner tips single out the enemy team's spawn APC as a target for RPGs, IEDs or C4, both useful and very profitable (see Spawning and Redeploying). In the clip Legacy Gaming warns that shooting the parked spawn APC's satellite dish disables its respawn.

Rewards for destroying buildables and crates (Season 2)

Since Season 2 a destroyed enemy buildable pays its build supply cost in cash, with XP about 25% of the cash, per Bulkhead's Season 2 notes: the L81 Mortar and Stingray $650 each (were $300), the Talon 9K-SAM $650 (was $2,000), the Vanguard CIWS $1,200 (was $3,000), the Hot Zone Magnet $2,750 (was $4,500), Repair and Refuel Stations $200, a Gate $200, a Door $100 (was $500), an MG Nest $650, a Large Shelter $250 and a Wood Base $15. Since Update 0.1.2 of Sep 30, 2026, the reward scales with how far the build had got, so a placed outline no longer pays in full.

Supply crates pay too: $300 for a small crate, $600 large, $1,000 small armored, $1,600 large armored and $800 for a supply pallet, scaled by the supplies inside, and half cash and half XP when empty. Destroying an enemy FOB adds a bonus of up to $7,500 and 250 XP by the supplies it held. More on earning is on Economy and Cash and Money Making Guide. In the clip Legacy Gaming warns that artillery can destroy crates and pallets left lying around.

How destruction changes tactics

A position is only as safe as its cover. GameSpot's FOB guide warns that a base on a roof can be destroyed by one mortar, and its build order puts high walls around the console first. Bunkers and the Indirect Fire Shelter (5,000 health each) exist to ride out mortar and artillery fire, and Season 2's higher wall costs make each lost wall dearer to replace.

On the other side, the rewards make demolition a job of its own: a Support player with an RPG-7 or a Kodiak stocked with RPGs and anti-air missiles, as Game Rant's budget guide suggests, can hunt enemy logistics and emplacements for cash. Season 2 cut most of those rewards, and Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer said on Oct 25, 2026 that top vehicles still return too quickly: "you finally shoot down a Havoc, one minute later a Havoc appears", per PCGamesN. In the clip, from May 2026 before Early Access, Bulkhead weighs an RPG costing about $3,000 against the $10,000 for destroying a packed enemy Little Bird.
