Driver
Driver is the Wardogs progression track for ground vehicles. In Season 2 it unlocks the Ural at level 3, the Wolf-110 at 8, the Humvee at 14, the T-72B3 tank at 20, the Flakpanzer Gepard at 25, the SPH-2 artillery tank at 31 and the L2A6 tank at 35 for $500,000, and it levels fastest from troop and supply runs.
Driver is the Wardogs progression track for ground vehicles: you earn its XP by carrying teammates and supplies to the front and by fighting from a vehicle, and its levels open trucks, armed cars and every tank, each unlocked once with cash. It is also the slowest track to level for most players: Driver took only 10.57% of the XP earned on the launch weekend, Bulkhead and Team17 said, against more than 20% each for Support and Assault. Everything below is Season 2 (update 0.2.0, Oct 15, 2026), read on Oct 26, 2026. Every vehicle's stats are on Vehicles.

How Driver earns XP and cash
Transport is the job. In launch week Rock Paper Shotgun was paid $1,000 for a "tactical deployment," $500 for each unharmed passenger and a tip, $2,515 for one run, and $500 for a supply crate delivery. GamesRadar+ found Driver XP "very slow" in Season 1, with the best sources being pallet runs to a FOB, dropping off teammates and driving the spawn APC. Fighting counts too: everyone in a vehicle gets Driver XP for kills made by its driver or gunners, GameSpot explains.
Season 2 lowered the base rewards and added streaks for repeat runs, with values for drops inside the Control Zone, per Bulkhead's notes:
| Delivery | Cash | XP |
|---|---|---|
| Player delivered by ground vehicle | $350 (was $500) | Not given |
| Return trip by ground vehicle | $150 (was $250) | 50 (was 100) |
| Supply pallet | $1,250 (was $2,500) | 500 from a ground vehicle (was 750) |
| Small supply crate | $250 (was $500) | 200 (was 250) |
| Large supply crate | $500 (was $1,000) | 400 (was 500) |
| Streak bonus, each player in a row (up to 25) | +$25 | +5 |
| Streak bonus, each crate in a row (up to 10) | +$100 | +50 |
| Streak bonus, each pallet in a row (up to 10) | +$250 | +100 |
| Streak bonus, each return trip in a row (up to 10) | +$50 | +25 |
Source: Bulkhead's Season 2 notes, Oct 14, 2026. Bulkhead corrected its first posted figures the same day: they "were base design values without a zone multiplier."
Season 2 also sent two more kinds of XP to Driver: repairing a ground vehicle and firing artillery, per Bulkhead's notes. The spawn APC pays its driver royalties: park it somewhere safe and every teammate who spawns on it pays you, PC Gamer explains, and GameSpot suggests parking it inside a FOB in the Control Zone. Riders can tip drivers, PCGamesN notes. More on the APC is on Spawning and Redeploying.
Driver unlocks in Season 2
Reaching a level makes an item available; you pay its unlock cost once, then its vendor price each life (Economy and Cash). Dexerto lists no Driver level for the Bobcat quad bike ($500) or the Kodiak SUV ($2,500), and each team gets vehicles that spawn free at the start of a match.

Season 2 added four vehicles to the track (the Wolf-110 at level 8, the Wolf-110 [M2 Browning] at 16, the T-72B3 at 20 and the Flakpanzer Gepard at 25) and moved the SPH-2 from Wardog level 90 to Driver level 31, cutting its unlock from $500,000 to $350,000, per Bulkhead's notes. The Humvee moved from level 15 to 14 but its unlock rose from $25,000 to $75,000.
Driver vehicles
Season 2 vendor prices per life, from Dexerto and Bulkhead's notes: Bobcat $500, Dune Buggy $1,500, Wolf-110 $2,200, Kodiak $2,500, Kodiak [Pickup] $3,000, Humvee $3,000, Ural $5,000, Kodiak [M249] $6,750, Ural Defender $7,200, Wolf-110 [M2 Browning] $7,800, SPH-2 $8,000, Humvee [M249] $8,500, Ural Defender [M249] $9,500, Humvee [Minigun] $10,000, Flakpanzer Gepard $14,000, T-72B3 $16,000 and L2A6 $22,000 (it was $14,000). Bulkhead describes the T-72B3 as "slower than the L2A6, but cheaper and slightly more fuel-efficient." Cars and trucks are on Light Vehicles and Trucks; tanks, the Gepard and the SPH-2 on Tanks and Artillery.
For logistics, the Kodiak holds any size of supply crate and the Ural carries whole pallets, Shacknews explains. Destructoid's pick for supply runs is the Ural Defender [M249], and its everyday passenger car the Kodiak [Pickup]. Since Season 2 a vehicle you buy keeps its inventory private to you and your squad by default.
The Season 2 Driver exploit
On Season 2's first day, players found they could drive just outside HQ, drop pallets and drive back, unlocking tanks on the first day; Bulkhead fixed it and gave fewer than 1,000 heavy abusers 24-hour bans, Eurogamer reported on Oct 16, 2026. Rock Paper Shotgun reported that the temporary fix slowed vehicle progression to Season 1 rates. On Oct 17 Bulkhead wrote that it had sped up progression deliberately "but it was the wrong call". Abusing exploits risks a ban and a cash and XP reset (Anti-Cheat and Bans). In the clip, from Bulkhead's HOTZONE podcast, the developers say the exploit touched fewer than 400 players.
How to level Driver fast
- Run troops and supplies into the Control Zone, not just outside it: Season 2's figures are the zone values, and the streak bonuses reward runs one after another (Bulkhead).
- Fill your seats with gunners: every kill your crew makes is Driver XP for everyone aboard (GameSpot).
- Drive the APC to a safe spot and leave it for royalties (PC Gamer).
- Repair friendly ground vehicles, which gives Driver XP since Season 2 (Bulkhead).
- Do not drive the APC in circles so no one can spawn, a complaint PC Gamer quotes, and shoot enemy tires: one popped Humvee tire cuts its top speed by over half, PC Gamer found.

VehiclesWardogs has 24 vehicles in Season 2: quad bikes, buggies, SUVs, Humvees, Ural trucks, three tanks, an artillery tank, five transport and attack helicopters and the team's free M113 spawn APC. You buy each one at the vendor every life, from $500 for a Bobcat to $28,000 for a Havoc, after unlocking it on the Driver or Pilot track. -
Spawning and RedeployingIn Wardogs you respawn at your team's HQ, about 3 km from the Control Zone, with nothing but what you buy again. The only other spawn point is your team's single APC; FOBs and tents are not spawns, so most players ride a helicopter or truck back and often parachute in. -
Economy and CashEvery Wardogs player starts with $10,000, buys a whole loadout every life, loses it on death and earns cash back through teamplay (zone time, revives, transport, logistics, spotting, kills); the balance carries from match to match until a season ends. Since Season 2 (Oct 15, 2026) logistics pay lower base rates plus delivery streaks, spotting pays about 30% less, and vehicle and armor prices went up. -
Light Vehicles and TrucksWardogs' wheeled vehicles in Season 2 run from the $500 Bobcat quad bike to the $10,000 Humvee [Minigun]: the Dune Buggy, Kodiak SUVs, Wolf-110s, Humvees and Ural trucks, plus the team's free M113 spawn APC. They unlock on the Driver track, and carrying players and supplies in them pays cash. -
Tanks and ArtilleryWardogs has four tracked combat vehicles in Season 2, all on the Driver track: the T-72B3 tank ($16,000, Driver 20), the L2A6 heavy tank ($22,000, Driver 35), the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-air tank ($14,000, Driver 25) and the SPH-2 artillery tank ($8,000, Driver 31). Artillery is aimed by compass bearing and range from the map. -
Anti-Cheat and BansWardogs uses the kernel-level anti-cheat Elytra, per its Steam store page; the betas used Easy Anti-Cheat, and the switch is why Wardogs does not run on Linux or Steam Deck. Bulkhead bans cheaters and exploiters (cash and XP reset to 0, timed or permanent bans), turned off Steam Family Sharing on Sep 18, 2026 to stop ban evasion, and capped official servers at 175 ms ping on Oct 21.
