Wardogs 1.0 and console release: Dec 2028Not announced: our best guess from Bulkhead's plan to bring Wardogs to PlayStation 5 and Xbox, with 1.0, in 2028.
Best guessBulkhead's launch trailer says Wardogs is "COMING TO CONSOLES IN 2028", and CEO Joe Brammer calls the goal "the 1.0 launch on console", but no date is announced, so we count to the end of 2028, the last day the announced year allows. Bulkhead on Steam

Healing and Revives

In Wardogs anyone can heal with bandages and revive a downed teammate by hand in about 20 seconds, and medical gear makes both faster: the free Emergency Resuscitator, the Field Resuscitator ($425), the First Aid Kit ($800), the Medical Bag ($1,800) and the instant Defibrillator ($1,600). Reviving and healing pay cash, and a revived player keeps all their gear.

In Wardogs anyone can heal and anyone can revive: bandages heal you or a teammate, and a downed teammate can be revived by hand in about 20 seconds or almost at once with a defibrillator (PC Gamer, Sep 17, 2026). There are no classes, so the medical gear on the vendor is open to every player, though the better items unlock on the Medic track. Reviving matters more than in most shooters because a player who dies without a revive respawns with nothing and has to buy a whole new loadout (TheGamer, Sep 11, 2026), while a revived player keeps everything. It pays, too: reviving and healing earn cash, and Bulkhead counted 60.7 million revives and 27.7 million heals in the first weekend alone (Bulkhead and Team17, Sep 16, 2026). Prices below are from Season 2 (update 0.2.0, Oct 15, 2026).

Going down

A downed player has a choice: wait for a revive, or give up (F by default) and respawn (Dexerto, read Oct 26, 2026). GameSpot's advice is to wait whenever teammates are close, because a revive keeps your gear and saves you rebuying it (GameSpot, Sep 14, 2026). Downed players show on the map as a circle with a pulse, so nearby medics can find you (TheGamer, Sep 11, 2026).

While down, press F1 to offer a bribe of up to $500, shown over your head and paid to whoever revives you (PC Gamer, Sep 11, 2026); Eurogamer describes downed players getting into "bribe wars" (Eurogamer, Sep 29, 2026). On a controller the bribe moved to X in Season 2 (Bulkhead, Oct 14, 2026).

If you give up, your body can be looted for all its gear; it disappears once you give up, but a lootable backpack stays on the ground for several minutes (PC Gamer, Sep 10, 2026). The ways back to the fight are on Spawning and Redeploying.

Bleeding out

Bulkhead has not published how long a downed player lasts before bleeding out, or how bleeding works, as of Oct 26, 2026. Dexerto's Medic page lists an "Increased bleedout timer" skill that "Increases the amount of time you have before you bleed out when you are in a downed state," but gives no base time (Dexerto, Sep 5, 2026). Skills are planned rather than in the game: Bulkhead describes Tarkov-style skills that improve with repetition as still in development (PC Gamer, Sep 29, 2026). Treat a downed teammate as urgent and do not count on a long timer.

Reviving a teammate

Anyone can drag a downed body to cover and revive it with bare hands, which takes about 20 seconds (PC Gamer, Sep 17, 2026). Revive items cut that time. The vendor gives every player one free Emergency Resuscitator per life, a single-use faster revive (Dexerto, Sep 4, 2026), so even a cheap loadout can bring one teammate back quickly. The Defibrillator revives "Instantly" but needs a battery (Dexerto, Sep 4, 2026); in the closed beta, each $150 battery was good for five revives (PC Gamer, Sep 9, 2026).

The system works because players use it. In the first weekend Bulkhead's stats showed about 61 million revives against 123 million kills, a revive rate near 50%, and PC Gamer calls Wardogs "the only FPS where I actually expect to get revived" (PC Gamer, Sep 17, 2026). Revive from cover, and keep quiet about it: proximity chat carries to enemies, so PC Gamer's tip is not to call out your medic's name while they work (PC Gamer, Sep 10, 2026; see Voice Chat).

Healing

Bandages are the basic heal for yourself or a teammate: a small amount of health each, sold in stacks of five (Dexerto, Sep 4, 2026). The Individual First Aid Kit heals to full, the Medical Bag heals over time and also speeds revives, and Enox grants extra health that decays (Dexerto, Sep 4, 2026). The Medical Bag "Costs More If Used On Self," so it is meant for others (Dexerto, Sep 4, 2026). Season 2 raised its durability from 100 to 150 (Bulkhead, Oct 14, 2026). PC Gamer's minimum kit for every life includes three to five bandages (PC Gamer, Sep 10, 2026).

Season 2 moved the Medical Bag down from Medic level 24 ($75,000) to 14 and the Defibrillator up from level 11 ($50,000) to 22, and cut the Medical Bag's price from $2,000 and the Field Resuscitator's from $500 (Bulkhead, Oct 14, 2026). More on each item is on Medical and Recon Equipment. The Defibrillator has one more use: killing an enemy with its charge earns the Steam achievement "Do Not Resuscitate," which 8.9% of players had on Oct 26, 2026 (Steam, read Oct 26, 2026; see Achievements).

Cash and XP for healing

Every teamplay action pays in Wardogs, revives included (Bulkhead, Feb 18, 2026). In the closed beta, a revive paid $900 and each bandage heal $200 (PC Gamer, Sep 9, 2026); Bulkhead has not published current amounts. A revived teammate who goes on to get kills also earns you assist cash, an effect Shacknews says "lasts quite a while," and using an Adrenaline Pen on friendlies inside the Control Zone pays more, and more again in the Hot Zone (Shacknews, Sep 28, 2026). GameSpot notes that you get no credit for reviving yourself, and advises carrying bandages so you are paid for healing the teammate you just stood up (GameSpot, Sep 14, 2026).

How much it adds up to: in one 50-minute Season 1 match on the winning team, PC Gamer's medic earned $62,215 and 9,995 Medic XP from 15 revives, 2 kills and 5 assists (PC Gamer, Sep 25, 2026). Update 0.1.2 made revive checks fully server-authoritative to stop revive exploits (Bulkhead, Sep 30, 2026). Earning as a medic is covered on Money Making Guide and Economy and Cash.

Tips

  • Wait for a revive when teammates are near; you keep your loadout (GameSpot, Sep 14, 2026).
  • Offer a bribe with F1 when several players are down and medics are choosing (PC Gamer, Sep 11, 2026).
  • Use your free Emergency Resuscitator every life; it costs nothing (Dexerto, Sep 4, 2026).
  • Heal the teammate you revive with a bandage, which pays and keeps them up (GameSpot, Sep 14, 2026).
  • Drag the body to cover before a bare-hands revive; it takes about 20 seconds (PC Gamer, Sep 17, 2026).
  • Armor keeps you from going down at all: see Armor and Gear. More first steps are on Beginner's Guide.
